I close my eyes to rest.
Heartbeat slows,
temperature drops,
thoughts drifting.

Peace.

Sudden flashes of light.
Dim to bright.
Bright to dim.
Lights flickering.
Movement-
of some kind.
Can't explain.
Sensation of passing
numerous energy fields of sorts.
Eyes still closed.

A journey...
knowing a path
never before traveled.

No fear.
Just peace.

Faster and faster
the light grows brightly.

No darkness.
No sound.
No feelings.

Drifting...
silently,
calmly.

Suddenly,
force.
A pull.
To somewhere or somebody.
Knowledge from an unknown source
flows around me and through me.
Too fast.
Too little time to absorb.

Confusion sets in.
Another force.
Pushing....
away.
Eyes closed.
Flashing of lights.
Faster and faster.
Bright to dim.

Peace.
No fear.

Returning to original point of origin.
Hands gripping the recliner.

Eyes open.
Drowsiness.
Confusion.

A longing to return
to original thought patterns.

The Universe.
Thoughts of it being traveled,
unprompted,
unsuspected.

Bodily senses
confused.
Mind
confused.
Knowledge
deepened.

Reality?
