Universal Strands

The Big Universe, VI
Liquid Black, surrounds clouds
of enriched white as the basic blocks
in life coalesce around strands.

Complexity underlays design.
A web pattern stretches from nether
to ether as tenuous links connect.

Nodes form, in isolated pockets
fed by a cosmic swirl that illuminates
empty space joined by threads.

Linked, but separated, by a lonely
vastness, the feeble awareness
fades as time stretches these threads.

At last, life begins in the outer edges
of a universe, unaware of the rest
until a global mind forms and again
the pattern is perceived, strands linked.
